Integrating Jira with Chrono Platform ⚙️

Integrate your Jira account with Chrono Platform to seamlessly import and sync your projects, tasks, stories, and epics. This integration provides detailed insights into work performed by each user, across projects, tasks, and activities.

Step 1: Connect Your Jira Account 🔗​

  • Service Account Token Required:
    To securely connect, you must use a Jira service account token. This token authorizes Chrono Platform to access your Jira data safely.

  • Authentication Process:
    Enter your service account token in the integration settings on Chrono Platform and complete the authentication steps.

Step 2: Import and Sync Projects 📁​

  • Automatic Import:
    Once connected, Chrono Platform will automatically import all your Jira projects.

  • Continuous Sync:
    Your projects remain up-to-date as Chrono Platform continuously synchronizes with your Jira instance, ensuring your data is always current.

Step 3: Import and Categorize Work Items 📊​

  • Comprehensive Data Import:
    Chrono Platform imports all Jira tasks, stories, and epics.

  • Accurate Categorization:
    Work items are automatically organized by:

    • User: Who completed the work.
    • Project: The associated project.
    • Task/Activity: The specific type of work performed.

This categorization helps you easily monitor team performance and manage resource allocation.

Account Mapping 🛠️​

  • Email Mismatch Issue:
    If the email associated with your Chrono Platform user does not match your Jira account email, you can manually map the accounts.

  • Manual Mapping:
    Use the account mapping feature in Chrono Platform to link your Jira and Chrono Platform accounts, ensuring all work data is accurately attributed.
